Eligibility
- Nationality:-
Candidate must be an Indian Citizen; or a subject of Nepal or Bhutan; or Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962 to permanently settle in India; or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania(Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar),Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
- Age Limit:- Age limit as on 1st July 2019. For undergraduate level posts the age is between 18-30. The relaxations are as follows:

1st STAGE CBT:-
The 1st Stage CBT is of screening nature and the standard of questions for the CBT will be generally in conformity with the educational standards prescribed for the posts. The normalized score of 1st Stage CBT shall be used for shortlisting of candidates for 2nd Stage CBT as per their merit. There will be negative marking and 1/3 mark shall be deducted for each wrong answer.

2nd STAGE CBT:-
Separate 2nd Stage CBT shall be taken for each of the 7th CPC Level i.e. Level 2,3,4,5 and 6 with graded difficulty level. All posts falling within same level of 7th CPC shall have a common 2nd Stage CBT. If Candidate is eligible for more than one level 7th CPC Posts as per their educational qualification, they have to give common 1st Stage CBT and corresponding 2nd Stage CBT for each level of 7th CPC.

Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) (Only for candidates who have opted for Traffic Assistant and Station Master) Qualifying marks: The candidates need to secure a minimum T-Score of 42 marks in each of the test batteries to qualify. This is applicable to all candidates irrespective of community or category i.e. irrespective of SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/PwBD/Ex SM and no relaxation in the minimum T- Score is permissible.
Typing Skill Test (TST): For the posts Senior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Accounts Assistant cum Typist, Senior Time Keeper, Junior Clerk cum Typist, Accounts Clerk cum Typist and Junior Time Keeper, Typing Skill Test (TST) of qualifying nature (marks obtained in typing skill test shall not be added for making merit) shall be conducted for which the number of candidates equal to eight times the number of vacancies for each of the community shall be called for. The candidates should be able to type 30 words per minute (WPM) in English or 25 WPM in Hindi on Personal Computer only without editing tools and spell check facility.

Eligibility

A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the examination but the offer of appointment may be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to him by the Government of India.

The computer-based test of RRB RRC (Level 1) exam is conducted for 1 and half hours and asks 100 questions. There is a negative marking scheme in RRB Group D exam. Candidates for each wrong attempt will be penalized with 1/3rd marks.
RRB RRC (Level 1) Exam Pattern
After successfully clearing the CBT exam i.e. attaining the minimum qualifying marks as set by the board, candidates are called for the PET test, the next round of RRB Group D selection process.
The RRB Group D PET is just qualifying in nature i.e. it is mandatory for candidates to clear the exam but the marks obtained won’t be considered for the final selection of candidates.
